1 2 1/2 lb frying chicken
Salt and pepper
Flour
Shortening
1 lg onion, sliced
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. catsup
1 c. water
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 No.2 can yellow corn, drained
Cut chicken into pieces; sprinkle with salt, pepper and flour.
Deep fry in shortening until done and golden brown.
Drain; cool.
Bone Chicken; pull into small pieces.
Place in 2-quart greased casserole.
Fry onion in small amount of shortening that chicken was cooked in, until tender.
Add remaining ingredients except corn.
Pour over chicken; cover casserole.
Referigerate at least 6 hours.
Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Add corn, stirring into chicken mixture.
Return to oven, uncovered;
Bake 25 minutes longer.
