Southern Gumbo
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 onion, chopped
2 cups tomatoes
2 cups okra, cut fine
1 cup chopped green peppers
2 cups hot water
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
salt and pepper
Fry the onions in the melted butter until brown; add the vegetables, hot water and seasonings.
Cook slowly until quite thick.
